Gross receipt tax in the State of Delaware?

I hear that there is what's called as gross receipt tax of little less than 2% in Delaware that will be charged if you, let's say, buy a car. Then that sounds like Delaware may using an alias for sales tax while saying they have no sales tax. What is the difference between state sales tax and gross receipt tax in Delaware? Also, are there any counties or cities/towns that levy sales tax in Delaware?
