Why do credit card companies cut off their nose to spit their face?

You cannot dictate terms to multi-billion dollar credit card companies....You only have negotiating power if you have A+ credit to where you can threaten to transfer your account to another firm that has $0 fees....If you have great credit, then go with a firm that has no fees..otherwise, you have to take the terms they give you.
